Watch as Frank Lampard scores New York City's fastest-ever MLS goal, however, it was not enough to prevent his side from losing to DC United.

Lampard netted his third goal in his past four games to help put the visitors in front after just 48 seconds at Robert F Kennedy Memorial Stadium, with the midfielder following up after David Villa's shot had been saved.

But after Lampard was substituted with 20 minutes left to play, the home side scored two goals to put an end to New York's three-game winning streak.

Frank Lampard scored inside one minute for New York City FC in their defeat to DC United on Friday night.

The former Chelsea midfielder reacted quickest after David Villa's initial shot was blocked, firing home the rebound in somewhat unconvincing fashion after just 48 seconds.

His strike, the quickest in the short history of NYC, wasn't enough for the visitors, however, with Fabian Espindola grabbing an equaliser and Alvaro Saborio finding an injury-time winner for the hosts.

Lampard had been substituted before the late comeback at RFKStadium.
